Two Books About Love. And Its Antidote! Its that Valentines Day time. And Suitcase Press is launching two books themed around romance. The first The Suitcase Book of Love Poems contains over 80 contemporary poems on love by a host of UK writers. It will provide inspiration for lovers in need of pepping up their flattery skills, or an ideal gift for those on the brink of a proposition or proposal. The second book is How To Dump Your Girlfriend. Described as an outrageous spoof guide book, it appeals to the opposite end of the love market, the end where cynics and sceptics gather! Written by rising stand up comic, Julian Daniel and containing outlandish illustrations by Paul Neads, the book should appeal in particular to those stuck in a relationship they want out of, or those who ‘have a friend’ with such a predicament. Both books are available now from all bookshops and will be launched simultaneously in Manchester on Feb 7th at Zion Arts Centre where the theatre will be themed and seating divided into two: one side for the cynics the other for the romantics. It will be interesting to see which side fills up fastest! The Suitcase Book of Love Poems (6.99) and How To Dump Your Girlfriend (5.99) available from all bookshops and online. Launch at 7pm, 7 February 2008 at Zion Arts Centre, Stretford Rd, Hulme, Manchester M15 ENDS For further information, photos, interviews contact: Pete Kalu, Suitcase Press at Cultureword, 6 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NS.
